Treatments for skin pigmentation are varied and diverse. In Dubai this can be a challenging condition to treat due to high levels of sun exposure.

Treatments range from topical cream treatments, to skin peels to resurfacing techniques. In reality, many of these treatments are used in combination over time.

Topical treatments cream preparations include sun protection preparations, Azelaic acid, Vitamin A (Retinoids), Vitamin C and Hydroquinone that can be used at home.

Skin peels contain similar preparations to topical skin treatments but are performed in the luxurious state of the art treatment rooms within the clinic.

Finally, resurfacing techniques are a more advanced and most invasive skin pigmentation treatment. These range from microneedling and PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) injections to using various energy based LASER devices.

Often, the most appropriate treatment involves combination treatments.

There is a high risk of recurrence after any pigmentation removal treatment.

Results between individuals can be highly variable and once treated, preventation of further pigmentation is critical.
