Surgical Procedure
Facial Injuries
The treatment of facial injuries is very much dependent on the cause, extent and location of the injury.
In the majority of cases, the face has an excellent blood supply and so if wounds are cleaned, any dead tissue is removed and stitched with meticulous care under magnification then healing is uneventful.
All scars will take approximately eighteen months to reach maturity and final appearance. In this time massage, silicone therapy and protection from sunlight is required.
In instances where facial injuries cannot be stitched directly, further surgery in the form of reconstruction will be required.
The final cost of any facial injury treatment is determined on a case by case basis dependent on complexity and the combination of any other additional procedures.
Combination surgeries will lower the price of individual surgeries if done together.
